In 2019 Little Sass-e Girl was created, before COVID-19 showed us it’s not so pretty face, for little models to be ambassadors for my upcoming, Little Sass-e Girl brand. As things transpired and everything started going haywire, I decided to move in another direction and The LSG Dance Squad was born! The dance squad gives the girls an outlet and an opportunity to meet other girls and form life long friendships, and learn a few new dances while they’re at it…LOL!

 

Little Sass-e Girl Dance Squad started in the Fall of 2020. We are also excited to roll out the LSG Mentorship Program, which will be implemented in May 2021! We are building a sisterhood that will to last for a lifetime!

 

We started out with 20 girls and after our first recital we received lots of interest and well now… you are probably an LSG parent, so you know the rest...WELCOME!

Dance and Performances:

The Squad will learn multiple dances that they will perform for their parents and the public during recitals and events throughout the valley. Our goal is to always learn age-appropriate dances and be respectful of others when we are out performing. We are building a team of awesome Little Sass-e Dancers and will not accept anything different!

 

Dance Styles:

Your Little Sass-e Girl will learn different dance styles; however, our focus will be on the following:

• Basic Hip Hop and Beyond; they will learn basics hip hop steps and put them together to make routines.  

• Free Body Movement; a form of lyrical dance and slow-moving steps.

• Modeling Dance; modeling while blending dance in to the routine.

• Group Dance; all the dancers create their own steps which will blend in to one complete routine.

This process effectively helps to promote team building skills, stage presence, friendship, self-esteem, respect for others, discipline, and the ability to lead and follow directions.

 

Dance Thoughts:

Dance is a frame of mind!

Is hard at times but becomes easier with practice!

Is a fun form of exercise that you can grow to love!

Sweat, smiles and shimmer are what comes from dance!

Practices are not glamorous, but the end results are awesome!

 

Little Sass-e Girl Mentorship Program:

*NEW* We are excited to announce the Little Sass-e Girl Mentorship Program that was just added to our Dance Squad Program! We feel that it is necessary to give the girls more than just dance.

 

The mentorship program will also promote leadership, team building, and bonding as a squad, as well as the following: 

• Learn about entrepreneurship; (Meet Community Entrepreneurs)

• Lean about making healthy choices; (Food and Friendships)

• Mold their future; (Career Choices)

• Etiquette Class (Promote Social Skills) 

• And More…..other fun events will be added to the calendar as applicable.
